Kwik Trip, Inc. is currently seeking a Distribution Center Manager. Our 455,000 square foot Distribution Center plays a key role in our vertical integration efforts. The Distribution Center has a team of 400
co-workers responsible for providing approximately 80 percent of the various products sold at our 700
store locations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are met
  • Supervise, train, and develop Distribution Center co-workers
  • Complete daily and weekly paperwork
  • Create work schedules
  • Review time records
  • Write performance appraisals
  • Follow and enforce all company policies
  • Maintain Distribution Center conditions (cleanliness, safety, security, inventory)


Qualifications:

  • Four to five years of previous management experience
  • Management degree is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Distribution Center operations
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Extremely high focus on possessing a positive, team-oriented leadership style
  • Self-starter with ability to think outside the box to problem solve and lead new initiatives
  • Ability to be an example of the Kwik Trip mission statement and core values
  • Attention to detail and ensuring accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and effectively resolve issues in a professional manner
  • Strong desire to succeed while being part of a team
  • Ability to build bench strength and develop co-workers
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while in a fast-paced environment
  • Effectively provide co-workers with timely and professional job performance feedback
  • Knowledge of AS400 operating system is a plus and experience operating Distribution Center equipment is desirable

Physical
Qualifications:
lift/carry up to 60 pounds to 60 inches, 40 pounds to 72 inches, and 20 pounds to 82 ; push/pull 60 pounds of force; bend, twist, reach, stoop frequently; work in -20 90
degree F temperatures.

Work Schedule:
Must be flexible with work schedule and adjust as operations dictate. May include nights and weekends. 50 hours per week.
