WI Trainer

We are seeking an energetic and engaging individual to conduct training for new and veteran direct care staff. This position will office in La Crosse, WI but will frequently travel to other areas of the state as needed.
Trainers are crucial to the provision of quality services and are responsible for the delivery of specialized staff training, including, but not limited to:
New employee orientation
Organizational in-services
Assistance with departmental in-services
Monitoring of all training materials and equipment.
This position will also provide support to other recruiter positions as requested to achieve organizational outcomes.
This is a full-time (40 hr./week) position that requires the ability to travel, may work overtime as needed.
Requirements
Ideal candidates for the Trainer position will have:
Minimum high school diploma/GED certificate.
A minimum of two years of experience/education related to teaching, staff training, development of training programs/curricula and in-service presentation.
Must demonstrate proficient communication and interpersonal skills, as well as decision-making, time management and organizational skills.
Must be or become certified in required training programs not limited to CPR, CBRF -First Aid with choking, CBRF Fire Safety, CBRF Standard Precautions CBRF Medication Administration and CPI.
Must be willing and able to travel on a regular basis, 50% or more of schedule depending on training needs.
Must be mature and responsible.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
A bachelor degree or a combination of education/experience equaling four or more years in a related field.
Previous experience or education with individuals with disabilities.
Previous experience working with this population in a community and/or residential program.
