Conduct client intake interviews, collect necessary information, and ensure accurate documentation of case details.
Manage and organize medical records and bills related to personal injury and workers' compensation cases.
Summarize medical bills in a clear and concise manner for attorney review and case preparation.
Gather evidence, including accident reports, witness statements, photographs, and other relevant documentation.
Assist in drafting and preparing legal pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other case-related documents.
Collaborate with attorneys and other staff members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to support case strategies and arguments.
Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other materials necessary for court proceedings.
Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
Maintain case management systems, databases, and calendars to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in using case management software and other legal tools.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in handling sensitive client information.
Personal Injury Paralegal - Required Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification from an accredited institution, and/or real world job experience Proven experience working as a personal injury or workers' compensation paralegal, preferably in a fast-paced legal environment.
Strong knowledge of personal injury and workers' compensation laws, procedures, and terminology.
Proficient in conducting legal research using various resources and databases.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and edit legal documents.
